Sustainable concrete at Afsluitdijk testing ground

Several parties have used different types of sustainable concrete in this project. By creating scope for innovation in major projects, Rijkswaterstaat aims to test innovative technologies.

C2CA Technology has manufactured Levvel blocks using recycled cement, sand, and gravel.

At the Afsluitdijk testing site, Levvel blocks have been produced by C2CA with a composition of 50% recycled sand and gravel. Furthermore, the integration of 20% recycled cement paste into the mix has improved the technical and environmental performance of the products.

C2CA Technology is forging ahead in the creation of a circular economy, demonstrating collaborative efforts with various partners at the Afsluitdijk testing ground.
