Smarter Upcycling, Stronger Foundations
We are excited to announce that we have successfully completed our €10M Series A funding round. This is a significant milestone for us, and it brings us closer to our goal of transforming the cement and concrete industry and building a sustainable future.
The equity round is led by a diverse consortium of impact-driven financial investors, a institutional investor, and strategic partners—demonstrating strong confidence in our solution.
Participants include:
InnovationQuarter (through the Energy Transition Fund Rotterdam), Taaleri Bioindustry, Chrysalix Venture Capital, Cimsa Building Materials, Titan Cement, and PI-Impact who join GBN Holdings, Delft Enterprises and ADR Technology as shareholders.
Building the Future Sustainably
Every year, the world produces 4.1 billion tons of cement, accounting for 8% of global CO₂ emissions. At the same time, 3 billion tons of concrete waste are downcycled or discarded. It's time for a change.
At C2CA, we are revolutionizing the construction industry by replacing primary raw materials of concrete with circular, upcycled materials.
Our mission is:
To build sustainable demand for circular materials in concrete.
To become the global reference for waste concrete upcycling before 2030.
To reduce global CO₂ emissions by 2%
How We Will Use the Investment
This funding enables us to:
Build a first-of-its-kind concrete waste upcycling facility in s’Gravendeel, which will be operational by Q2 2025. This facility will process 150,000 tons of waste concrete per year, setting a new standard in waste concrete upcycling.
Grow our team and scale up our technology to meet the growing demand for sustainable concrete materials.
Expand our collaborations with industry partners. We have already signed 10 more collaboration agreements with future off-takers and feedstock suppliers.
Develop new breakthrough innovations to further reduce the carbon footprint of concrete
Expand our operations to at least 2 more strategic important locations globally
Key Milestones Achieved
Industrial Testing Success:
Since 2022, our pilot facility in Hoorn has processed thousands of tons of waste concrete, proving the practical application and viability of our upcycling technology on an industrial scale.Demonstration Projects:
Our upcycled materials have been used in six reference construction projects under the Dutch Climate Envelope initiative, showcasing their quality and performance in real-world applications.Company Growth:
Our team has expanded from 1 to 10 full-time employees over the past 18 months, reflecting rapid development and dedication to our mission of advancing sustainable practices.First Commercial Partnership with Dura Vermeer:
